The tallit, or Jewish prayer shawl, is a sacred garment worn during prayer as a symbol of faith and connection.
Tzitzit are the knotted fringes found on the four corners of the tallit. They serve as a reminder of your Jewish identity and values, inspiring you to live each day with intention and integrity.
Parents, siblings, and grandparents are invited to take part in the ceremony. If there is a beloved aunt, uncle or close family friend, they're welcome to join as well. We encourage keeping the ceremony intimate, as it's most meaningful when shared with your immediate family.
Family members who have a tallit may exchange tzitzit, while everyone else in attendance is invited to offer a blessing.
Your dining room table, or another space with a table to gather around, is the perfect setting for your Family Ties experience.
Yes, as long as they are re-tied correctly, and tied with intention.
No, tzitzit and untied and re-tied only.
For B'nei Mitzvah and weddings, we recommend scheduling your ceremony during the week or weekend leading up to the event.
