The tallit (TAH-leet), or Jewish prayer shawl, is a sacred garment worn during prayer as a symbol of faith and connection.
Tzitzit (TZEET-zeet) are the knotted fringes found on the four corners of the tallit. They serve as a reminder of your Jewish identity and values, inspiring you to live each day with intention and integrity.
Parents, siblings, and grandparents are invited to take part in this special experience. If there is a beloved aunt, uncle or close family friend, they're welcome to join as well. We encourage keeping the ceremony initmate, as it's most meaningful when shared with your immediate family.
No, not everyone needs a tallit. Traditionally, wearing a tallit was a practice reserved for men, today, women also wear tallit. Yay for girls!
We'll come to you! Your dining room table is the perfect setting for this meaningful experience. We look forward to gathering around the table with your family.

No, tzitzit and untied and re-tied only.
This special ceremony will set the tone for the entire B'nei Mitzvah weekend. We recommend holding the ceremony 2-3 days before the event. However, we understand that out-of-town family members may arrive closer to the date and are happy to accommodate your family's schedule .
