LIFECYCLE EVENTS

Jewish life is marked by moments that draw families together.
Baby Namings, B'nei Mitzvah, Weddings, end of life, and other lifecycle

events carry the weight, love, and the presence of generations.

Family Ties creates a ceremony for families to gather and honor the generations that surround them. At the heart of the experience is the tallit. Through

a guided exchange of tzitzit, generations are connected and

literally "tied" together with intention and meaning.

When the tallit is worn on the bimah, used in celebration, for healing, or raised

as a chuppah, it becomes more than a garment. It becomes a tangible expression of L’dor V’dor, woven with the threads, love and

legacy of those who surround us.

WEDDINGS

When the tallit is used as a chuppah, the bride and groom stand beneath more than fabric. They stand beneath threads held by the generations who shaped them and are strengthened by the legacy of two families joined as one.

As blessings are spoken and tzitzit are tied, the tallit becomes a visible expression of where they come from, and what they are building together.

END OF LIFE

When a loved one is nearing the end of life, families often seek a way to gather with intention, to offer blessings and express gratitude. With love and guidance, Family Ties creates space for generations to be woven together while all are still present.

In this sacred moment, threads are tied not in farewell, but in blessing.

ADULT B'NEI MITZVAHS

For some it's a long awaited milestone, for others it's a return–a reclaiming of tradition.

For everyone, it's deeply personal.  Through the exchange of tzitzit, the B'nei Mitzvah becomes not only an individual achievement, but a shared generational experience.

ANNIVERSARIES

An anniversary is not only about how long you have been married, but about a promise you made–and the home and family created from it.  Through the exchange of tzitzit, generations gather to tie their love and appreciation into the tallit, making visible the life that grew from that promise.

MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS

Because the most meaningful milestones are those that honor not only time, but the generations who make that time meaningful. Through the exchange of tzitzit, the celebration becomes a shared generational experience.

Please note: Family Members who have tallit may exchange tzitzit, however,  everyone present is invited to offer a blessing.
